
GUIDELINES FOR PLEDGE PROGRAMS
A Rainbow Pledge Group is for girls between the ages of 8 and 11.
The standard Pledge Ritual for Texas Grand Assembly Pledge Groups is the Pledge Ritual available from Supreme Assembly.
Sponsorship for Pledge Group can be by members of the Grand Cross of Color or may be by the local Assembly.
A girl must be recommended by any Pledge, Rainbow Girl or Grand Cross of Color member, and must have the approval of a member of the Masonic Lodge, OES, or Amaranth.
There are no dues or initiation fees.
The Pledge Groups should have a Pledge Mother and an Associate Pledge Mother who acts as an Advisor to the Pledge Mother. The Pledge Mother should be a Grand Cross of Color member, or may be an older Rainbow girl or may be an adult. The Associate Pledge Mother should also be a member of the Advisory Board since she is the Advisor.
The Pledge Ritual gives the nine officers and the jewels of each office.

Each Pledge Group may determine the presentation of the Jewel on the white ribbon for around the neck.
All girls
should have an office, so in addition to the nine officers in the Ritual, you
may select additional officers as follows; and order the corresponding Jewel for
each office:

The term of office should be the same as the Rainbow Assembly
The Pledge Group should meet at least once a month
The Pledge Group will be Instituted just as a Rainbow Assembly and it will receive a Certificate of Organization, which is their Charter.
Contact the Supreme Deputy for mutually convenient date and time for the Instituting.
"Bless Be The
Tie That Binds" is provided in the Ritual as a required song. "One Little
Candle"* is suggested for use by Grand Assembly of Texas. You may use other
songs, please submit for approval the songs you wish to adopt as standard for
your Pledge.
